From Trial to Testimony

("The Unveiling" Series 3, Post 5)

The other day I scratched my eye really bad with my own nail. I spent the day in pain with my eye closed. The next morning, I asked God what He wanted me to learn from this. What He brought to my mind was how a lot of our pain and vision problems about life situations or the future are self-inflicted. He then brought to my mind yet again His desire that we “live in expectation but not define those expectations.”

We can easily go into our days or years with negative thoughts, dreading all of the trials we might face, especially with Satan on the loose. Instead, however, we should enter thinking about how all of our trials, or perceived trials, are in actuality opportunities for God to show up in our lives. We need a perspective change. Or should I say we need a prescription change. We need to look through the eyes of God when facing our days, our weeks, and our years.

After coming out of one of my own personal trials just a week earlier, God had me write this down:

Trials are not always pleasant seasons but what testimony arises from them when My people surrender their minds and wills to Me. Though trials you go through may seem hard, they are in actuality My great mercy and steps to embrace. They are pathways to My glory, reasons for Me to show up in ways worth testifying about. So, when trials come, this, this My people, is when to truly live in expectation of Me showing up for you. AND I WILL SHOW UP EVERY TIME. I am Faithful. I am Love. I am your Father and I deeply care about you, every area of your life. Believe that when I am for you NOTHING will be against you.

Like I said, God showed up. In fact, I was bubbling over with such a desire to testify, a natural response, like God said to His involvement. He gave me a new prescription that I hope to faithfully keep applying so that I will be thoroughly equipped for whatever comes my way next. Thank You Father, my Great Physician.

God created us to testify, and whether we like it or not, testimony comes from trials. But again, like God said, it is all about how we view our trials. I have also been enamored with the events of the world right now, learning a lot through social media. But what God has been showing me is that this can really weigh you down unless we give all that we see and hear, and perceive, to Him and allow Him to shed light on the subject. We need to make sure that we are giving Him more, or at least equal the amount of time, that we give social media.

If you recall, my recent personal trial revolved around money. However, my trial came before all of the banking closures and issues I have heard about recently through social media. I believe this was God’s way of setting the stage. It was His way of speaking truth into my life, giving me His prescription to see things through His eyes before seeing and hearing about all of the banking and money chaos that is happening in the world around me. If you recall, God has spoken a lot about how a testimony is a reservoir of faith that we can tap into for strength when times get tough. And my recent testimony is such a reservoir for me. It is a constant reminder to me that God provides and that He will always provide.

We live in crazy times and things are only going to get worse. This is the very reason why God wants to equip us through testimony, through these reservoirs of faith. He wants them to be the storehouses that are built up, like the ones Joseph built up in Egypt, so that when the true famine or desert comes, we will be prepared. We will have the correct prescription that will see us through, the very eyes of God.

In church on 3-12-23, God spoke. He said:

Fear is a liar at My people. Let Me be your trustworthy currency. Through My Spirit there is nothing I will not provide for you. My storehouses are full, and their fullness will never run dry. Tap into Me. Tap into the power of My Holy Spirit to renew your strength, to calm your mind, and fix your eyes on Me - your Salvation. Remember you are My children and oh how I delight in giving you good gifts. I give you what you need not always what you want, but remember I give you the desires of your hearts, therefore if a need or desire is from me BELIEVE I will fulfill it. I will fill EVERY need, every single need, no exception. Believe. Believe. Believe. What joy will fill your spirit when you truly choose to believe this truth. I am for you My people therefore NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, will be able to truly come against you. Remember to resist the devil and he will flee. My people he is in a taunting season. He is truly on the loose because he knows his time is limited. But don’t give into his tactics. Instead resist. Turn to Me. Cast your worries upon Me and rest, yes rest in My unfailing love and protection. I promise to always take care of you. Do not give into fear. Fear is a liar. Instead sit at My feet. Cast your cares upon Me and I promise to lift you up. I promise to work with you through your trials for I desire to create great testimonies, testimonies that will flood this earth and defeat this foe once and for all. Amen and amen.

Psalms 46: 1-3 says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” Within this same chapter we have Psalms 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

No matter what chaos, distraction, and fear tactics Satan brings our way, we need to remember to be still and know that God is God. He is Faithful. He is Love. He is our Father. And He will let NOTHING truly come against us.

Let us all thank our Great Physician and put on that much needed prescription that helps us see our trials and this world through His perfect eyes. Let us see and experience God turning every trial into a testimony, a great reservoir of faith that He will use to defeat the chaos, the distraction, the fear, and most importantly that foe behind it all. Amen and amen.
