Blow Trumpet, Blow

Updated: Feb 22, 2023

("God's Mission Protocol" Series 2, Post 14)

*Rosh Hashana is a day celebrated with trumpet blasts. The blowing of the trumpet signaled the calling of a Sabbath or assembly, a warning of danger or action that needed to be taken, and the announcement of the arrival of a king. Today, this feast is celebrated with blasts from a shofar, which is a trumpet typically made from a ram’s horn.

9-26-22

Happy Rosh Hashana. Today is Rosh Hashana, the Feast of Trumpets. As I write this, I raise my shofar high and blow. I admit that I am not very good at it. So, I simply set it aside and give a loud shout. It feels a little silly, but I do it anyway. With a loud voice I shout to my King. I did this the first year I learned about the Feast of Trumpets as well. I had just ordered my first shofar off the internet but since I didn’t have it yet on that first Rosh Hashana, I decided to be the trumpet myself and I yelled at the top of my lungs. In my heart I knew this act glorified the Lord for I was not only choosing to honor one of His appointed times as He had told me to do, but I was choosing to rehearse for things to come.

I had attended a conference that I was invited to by a friend where I found that a Christian Jewish woman was there to speak about God’s appointed times as laid out in Leviticus 23. She talked about why we, even as Gentile believers, should still celebrate them. Although there are a number of reasons, the main one that got my attention at that time in my life was that they are meant to act as rehearsals of things to come. After all, regarding this feast especially, someday the entire world will hear a loud trumpet sound announcing the arrival of the true King of kings. As it says in Matthew 24:31 (NIV), “And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” I don’t know about you, but this is definitely something we should rehearse for and be prepared for.

While I sat in that conference, learning about things that I had not expected this women’s retreat to be based around, yet knowing that God had wanted me there, I stopped

and actually asked God what He wanted me to learn from this topic. He said firmly, “Susan, if you honor My appointed times, then I will honor yours.” I knew He meant it.

I have shared some of this story before in a past message (and you can also find it in “Bridegroom in the Clouds: Book Two – Bridge Stories”) but if you don’t remember, at that time I was waiting on the fulfillment of a promise God had given me that He would return my bridegroom to me, the man I had separated from. Because of this, I knew what God was referring to when He mentioned my appointed times. To make a long, BUT GREAT, story short, I honored all of God’s appointed times and other Biblical festivals for an entire year and after I finished celebrating the final one, God not only put my face on the cover of a magazine but my bridegroom returned to me. For shortly after, Joe ended up asking my parents for my hand in marriage. God was faithful to His promise to me and this appointed time in my life. My friends, God has a special appointed time for all of us, His Bride, so let us shout for joy, sing out loud, and rehearse for what is to come.

This is also a special day for me because it marks the one-year anniversary of one of my other fulfilled appointed times, the arrival of my first book, “Bridegroom in the Clouds: Book One – The Promise” which talks about God giving me this initial promise and how He even confirmed it by using the clouds. God called me to finally publish it last year and after doing so, I knew in my heart that somehow my first official copy would arrive on Rosh Hashana last year, and sure enough it did. I ended up taking a picture of it next to my shofar that I had out for decoration. Why is this significant? It is significant because my testimony has always been about Christ’s return, from God’s very first promise that my own bridegroom would return to me. Since then, God has woven message upon message of hope all throughout my story speaking about the return of our King Jesus, our Bridegroom. A great number of these stories is what makes up my second book, but there have been several since then, great ones such as “Bride Has Made Herself Ready,” one of my first blog posts this year where God orchestrated four weddings to speak about the status of His Bride.

This last weekend I ended up participating in an online conference. If you have followed along with me, this is the one that I was inspired to sign up for during another conference I mention within the message “Time to Go Deeper.” I attended an online conference this summer that bothered me. It bothered me because they didn’t seem to talk about the times that we are in, the changes that have taken place within our world, especially since the pandemic. They seemed to want to simply go back to the way things were. However, God showed me through this that it is time to go deeper, that the studies, church models, and ministries that we have revolved around until now are no longer going to be enough in the days ahead. So, He inspired me to sign up for another conference later in the year which just took place. And this conference was all about the return of Jesus, our Bridegroom. They talked about the change in our world, about our need for revival, and about how we should prepare ourselves to minister in this changing world. I gleaned a lot of confirmation through this conference, mainly affirming “God’s Unfolding Message” through my life this year. I am thankful.

I am not going to go into a lot of detail about this conference at this time, but what I am going to do is share God’s words to me, what He told me to write down towards the end of the conference. He said:

Susan, My Beloved, write these words down:

Return. Return. Return to Me My people. Return to your Bridegroom. He longs for His wedding day. Oh, how I long for you - ALL OF YOU. Not one BUT ALL. My Bride is ALL My people. ALL MY PEOPLE. ALL MY PEOPLE. I long for ALL of you.

Shortly after this I was scheduled to have people from this conference pray over me through a Zoom call and I was given some prophetic words. The first sister-in-Christ said that God had laid Psalms 150 on her heart to give me, especially verse 6. It says, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.” She then said, “Praise the Lord in everything you do and let people know His Name. Everything God is calling you to is to praise Him. He is directing you to a new season to praise Him, to be a face for Him.”

The next lady said that God had given her a vision and said, “I see you holding hands with some children, spiritual children. You feel like you are dragging them along. God is going to answer your call. You don’t have to feel like you are dragging them along anymore because He is going to fulfill His promise to you.”

My friends, that one brought me to tears, for that is how I feel. For over 14 years God has spoken to me about and filled my story with events that all speak about His return, but very few have really listened. No matter how hard I have tried to put myself out there and invite people to look and listen, very little fruit. So, this vision and word gave me hope, and it was only confirmed as God spoke more at church the following day. For in church yesterday, God said:

Rosh Hashanah. Rosh Hashanah. Rosh Hashanah. Raise those voices high. Hear the trumpet blast. Celebrate the return of the King. Return. Return. Return. How your Bridegroom longs to return for His Bride - all of you. ALL of you are His Bride. He longs for you - yes you. He longs for you. Return. Return. Return. Christ WILL return. In My timing, for My glory, HE WILL RETURN for you My people, Christ’s Bride. Believe. Believe and take hold of this renewed promise.

I instantly heard the worship team sing, “When He shall come with trumpet sound.”

Shout it out. Don’t hold back. Be the trumpet’s blast. Let your voice’s ring out. Declare the Risen King. Make Him known. Let your words and your lives testify to the Bridegroom. He is good. He is worthy. He has all control. He is love and oh how He longs for you, His Bride. Get His Bride ready My people. Get yourselves ready. Then collectively get others ready. So many still need your light, your collective light. Shine. Shine. Shine. Let your words and lives ring out. You are My trumpet blast. Let the nations hear your song, your collective song.

I love you, Susan. Be filled with My Spirit. Praise. You are indeed entering a season of praise. You WILL praise My Name for the world to hear. Ring out Susan. Shout. Don’t hold back for the glory of the Lord is upon you. . . I have and will be faithful to you, to EVERY promise I have ever given you. When I am, TESTIFY.

Shout it out. Praise My Name. Let the nations know of My goodness, My faithfulness and of how well I intend to treat My Bride. Oh, Bride of Christ, arise. This is your season. This next season belongs to you and those I have called for a time such as this. Believe Susan. With ALL your heart believe. Like never before BELIEVE. BELIEVE. BELIEVE My daughter. I am and will be faithful to you. Therefore, PRAISE MY NAME. Start now. Praise Me Susan. PRAISE ME. I am worthy of your praise. Praise Me in the morning. Praise Me in the evening. Praise Me ALL DAY LONG.

No word will be wasted Susan, not a single one lost. I AM the Word of your testimony therefore know that I WILL be heard. . . Be prepared for a major shift Susan . . . Though this has taken longer than you expected, I declare to you today that this shift is upon you. I am at work Susan. I have never stopped. Every single year of your life has had value and a purpose. Continue to embrace them knowing this truth but brace yourself for change, for truly great change is upon you, My Bride. . . You haven’t been waiting on people to notice you, I have kept most at bay but SNAP - BLAST- hear the trumpet blast. . . You are My Star, so shine. Shine. Shine. Shine. Praise Me Susan. Cry out. Don’t hold back. What do you have to lose? NOTHING. Sing. Shout. Cry out. You are My trumpet blast. Roar. Never stop. You will be heard. I WILL be heard. . .

My people My faithfulness is endless. My promises are a done deal. Though it feels I terry long in bringing the type of fulfillment you long for, I can assure you that My ways and My timing are perfect. My fulfillment can be expected, and I will NOT disappoint. Fall into Me and await the blessings I have in store for you. You are Mine, My beloved, and I have not abandoned you. THEREFORE praise Me. With all your might praise Me. Raise your voice’s high. Shout it out. Praise My holy Name for I am worthy of your praise. In good times praise Me. In bad times praise Me, knowing that EVERYTHING happens for My glory. EVERYTHING has purpose. I use everything, therefore praise Me. Shout. Cry out. Make Me known. Let your shouts revive a weary world. Speak of My goodness. Let your words be My words, your hearts My heart, your minds My mind and when you do you will collectively be My trumpet blast - a blast that will awaken souls, renew hearts, and revive many. Feel My Spirit. Feel My power. All I have is yours therefore cry out. Don’t hold back. Blow trumpet, blow.

These last words reminded me of something God said in His last message “Fall into Me.” He referred to us as His victory plan. As my pastor said, “God wants to use us to set people free.” My friends, one of the best things I gleaned from this conference I did was that we shouldn’t see the world right now as becoming post-Christian, but instead as pre-revival. Well, I can attest to this for this is what “God’s Unfolding Message” and “God’s Mission Protocol” through me this year (all His prophetic words through my blog posts and videos) have been about – REVIVAL! God even summed this up well also in His last message “Fall into Me,” saying:

Fall into My hands and let Me faithfully form you into My perfect plan. My people, YOU are My plan. My people, you are My victory plan. I plan to use you, whom I formed and created, for a time such as this. You may see what looks like scary times, but I tell you that it is a world ripened, prepared, and ready for a mighty move of My Spirit.

Oh, Bride of Christ, I hope you are as excited as I am. For, we are God’s victory plan. We are His trumpet blast. WE ARE HIS STARS. So, let’s Shine. Let’s shout out loud and not hold back. Let’s cry out and let’s together TESTIFY! Shine. Shine. Shine Bride of Christ. Shine! Amen and amen.
